The Internationalization and Cooperation Vice President of the ULPGC has opened the 2016 Call for the “International Volunteer Support Program in the field of international development cooperation”.
The objective of this call is to encourage, within our University, the participation of students and recent graduates in an international and supportive experience. To this end, through this Program travel grants are granted to collaborate as volunteers in projects and actions that NGOs are developing in Africa, Latin America or Asia.
The Program offers in this 2016 call two modalities, A and B, depending on the profiles of the candidates and the duration of the planned stay:
Mode A: <>
– Volunteer stays with a duration of between 1 and 3 months
– For students of the ULPGC, enrolled in a Degree Course, in a Own or Official Master's Degree or in a University Expert Course.
– The aid will be a maximum of €1,600.
Modality B: << Long-term International Volunteering >>
– Volunteer stays with a minimum duration of 6 months
– For students of the ULPGC, enrolled in a Degree Course, in a Master's Degree or Official Master's, or Doctorate.
– Also for Graduates from the ULPGC, with studies completed in the last two years of this call. Indispensable to be resident in the Canary Islands.
– The aid will be a maximum of €3,500.
The 1st Selection Phase of the 2016 call will remain open until May 11, 2016. However, as a novelty this year, the candidate will be able to access the 2nd Phase as soon as they satisfactorily complete the 1st Phase. There will be an INFORMATIVE MEETING on the International Volunteer Program of the ULPGC, which will take place on May 3 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Aula de Piedra – Rectorate Building, Calle Juan de Quesada Nº 30.
