All students who have more than 3 exhausted calls for a subject are informed that they must participate in the Tutoring Program offered by teachers.
As you know, the verification report of the Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine commits us to achieving global academic results of the degree, specifically a Graduation Rate higher than 50%, a Dropout Rate lower than 15% and an Efficiency Rate higher than 70%.
In the Bachelor's degree, the academic results of the students, and of each one of the subjects, had no repercussions since there were no ANECA accreditation programs that are required of us in the Bachelor's degrees. That is why the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine approves the Tutorial Action Plan and Student Orientation (PATOE) in the Faculty Board, whose final objective is to achieve the expected results set forth above.
The PATOE includes two programs:
- Tutoring Program. Aimed at identifying students with 3 or more exhausted calls for a certain subject.
- Follow-up Program. Aimed at identifying subjects with academic failure (<60% passed/enrolled and <75% passed/submitted).
The mentoring program consists of the following steps:
1.- The dean's office sends the subject coordinators the list of students with 3 or more exhausted calls and that you will find attached to this letter.
2.- The professor contacts these students and offers them a Learning Plan for the subject aimed at improving their academic results in the subject.
3.- The teacher must compile the commitment of the students to follow up on said Learning Plan by means of a document that includes their signature.
4.- The professor must send to the Tutorial Action Commission a copy of the designed Learning Plan and the commitment documents of the students.
