PhD in Research in Biomedicine from the ULPGC

Doctorado en Investigación en Biomedicina por la ULPGCToday the FAVORABLE report of the ANECA of the PhD Program in Research in Biomedicine by the ULPGC has been published.

This degree comes to replace, due to extinction, the doctorate in Veterinary Clinic and Therapeutic Research dependent in recent years on the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and which will be taught at the ULPGC Doctoral School.

 

As of the next 2015-2016 academic year, students of both the Degree in Veterinary Medicine and the Master's Degree in Veterinary Clinic and Therapeutic Research will be able to start their doctorate, and therefore, their research career. This doctoral program comes to complete the training cycles inherent to the European Higher Education Area.

The main lines of the doctoral program (and its Coordinators) are:

  1. Molecular mechanisms that control the immune response, infection and inflammation. Prof. Antonio Castrillo Viguer
  2. Promotion of health and prevention and treatment of prevalent diseases. Prof. Ana Wagner Fahlin
  3. Oncology and Environmental Toxicology. Prof. Luis Dominguez Boada
  4. Evaluation and preclinical development of molecules with biomedical interest. Prof. Francisco Estevez Rosas
  5. Surgical Pathology Prof. Joaquín Marchena Gómez
  6. Physical activity and health Prof. José Antonio López Calbet
  7. Veterinary clinic. Prof. Alberto Montoya Alonso
  8. Osteoporosis and mineral metabolism. Prof. Manuel Sosa Henriquez
