FREE COURSES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE CANARY ISLANDS

CURSOS GRATUITOS DEL GOBIERNO DE CANARIASThe virtual classroom of the Vice-Ministry for the Environment of the Government of the Canary Islands makes free courses on the Canarian natural environment and good practices for its conservation available to all students.

The online training platform http://elearning.canarias-sostenibilidad.org/catalogo_cursos.php offers free, short-term courses that are eminently informative. This platform is updated regularly, thus making new courses available to citizens. In addition, students who pass these courses will receive a diploma issued by the Vice Ministry of the Environment of the Government of the Canary Islands.

The “Canarias Sostenibilidad” training classroom is an instrument at the service of sustainability. Its main objective is to transfer to the Canarian society the information and knowledge necessary to train citizens to be able to intervene in the improvement of the environment.

The courses currently available on the platform are:
Exotic animals in captivity: safety and maintenance
The marine environment of the Canary Islands
cetaceans
sea birds
Sea turtles
Management of the Atlantis 3.1 Program
Management of poisons
Basic knowledge for the practice of hunting
Good Hunter Practices
Introduction to the interpretation of heritage
Planning of interpretive itineraries
In addition, four courses are expected to be available to students shortly:
Sewage Treatment
dehydrated
Native flora for ornamental use
