January 26 – Talk “Internships and Residencies in Veterinary Medicine”

The talk will be given by Alejandro Suárez Bonnet, a graduate of our Faculty who is doing a Residency in Pathology at the Royal Veterinary College of the University of London.

Come and find out on Thursday, January 26 at 12:30 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the Faculty.

Alejandro graduated from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 2005 and after a short period in small and large animal practice he enrolled in a PhD program investigating the pathogenesis of canine mammary tumors. On completion of the PhD he gained a post-doctoral scholarship to continue his research on cell cycle regulators and comparative oncology. Since 2009 he has participated in the Anatomic Pathology Diagnostic Service with Professors A. Espinosa and P. Herraez at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Alejandro joins the Anatomic Pathology Residency Program at the RVC with a 4-year Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) Clinical Scholarship and will perform a research project investigating infectious upper airway disease in Thoroughbred horses.
