GOALS:

Promote a preventive culture in biosafety
Promote knowledge about biological risk factors and measures to prevent and control their effects

SPEAKER OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GRANADA

Francisco Sicilia Gutierrez. Superior technician in occupational risk prevention. Industrial Hygiene at the University of Granada.

Graduate in Chemical Sciences and PhD in Environmental Sciences and Technology from the University of Granada. Master in occupational health and working conditions from the University of Seville. Auditor in occupational risk prevention and superior technician in ORP in the three technical disciplines (safety, hygiene and ergonomics and psychosociology). Supervisor of radioactive facilities.

Since 1992 he has worked as a senior prevention technician and has taught in a multitude of areas, both at work and at university.

- Superior technician in occupational risk prevention. Industrial hygiene. (2000-present) from the University of Granada (UGR).
– Coordinator of the technical prevention service of the UGR (2015-2016)
– Director of the occupational risk prevention service of the UGR (2008-2015).
– Secretary and member of the ethics committee in research with genetically modified organisms and biological agents of the UGR.
– National coordinator of the commission of the Spanish rectors' conference that deals with prevention issues. 2012-2016
– National coordinator of the working conditions group of the national network of sustainable laboratories. (2011-2014)
– Co-director of the own master's degree in prevention appraisals.
– Coordinator of the own master's degree in business management of prevention.

His participation in the ministerial commission created by the Ministry of Education, on behalf of the University of Granada, for the drafting of the agreement to adapt prevention to the Spanish university and the publication by the INSHT of two technical notes on prevention (NTP) stand out. 987 and 988).
